Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely account reimbursements
• Resolve denied and rejected claims
• File corrected claims, reconsiderations and appeals
• Contact patient to collect outstanding balances
• Contact insurance companies when necessary
• Document claims status and denial reasons
• Communicate regarding patient concerns, departmental errors, insurance trends and internal inquiries regarding multiple accounts
• Assist Management with special projects
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements: The Basics of Being a Good Fit:

• High School diploma required, Associates Degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years experience with medical billing, collections, and AR follow-up
• Ability to perform basic accounting and math procedures required
• Knowledge of ICD-10/CPT/HCPCS
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient with basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to accurately type 45 wpm and 10-Key
• Must have industry knowledge of guideline requirements for Medicaid, Medicare, commercial payors, and HIPAA.

Responsibilities:

Sales: Promoting our membership using different sales channels to the Memphis Community.

Retention: Ensuring that current members have all questions or concerns answered, and that they are taking advantage of the Vida Plus membership benefits so that they will continue to see the value in the program.

Education: Effectively informing the public, through traditional and non-traditional platforms, of the Vida Plus program and their association with DarSalud clinics. This will include events, scouting, clinic representation, and incoming calls.

Financials: Keep all members’ financial records up to date so that no one has a lapse in coverage and billing discrepancies are kept to a minimum.

Communication: Communicating the membership status of patients with key DarSalud team members.
